Birding
Taken from Elaines B&B back patio
Whether you are a serious birder or you just enjoy them, birding is great here at Elaine’s Bed and Breakfast.
Former guests Ken and Mary Lou Schneider moved to New Mexico less than a mile away from Elaine’s.
Their Cedar Crest backyard website (www.rosyfinch.com/birdlist.html) lists 120 species of birds that they recorded in their back yard just east of Elaine’s and is a good source to see what birds you can expect to see while visiting.
Elaine’s is also the best location to stay if you are interested in seeing the all three species of rosy finches, a high altitude winter bird best seen at the crest of the Sandia mountains. VIEW birding links CLICK HERE.
Horsebackriding
Guests at Elaine’s can rent a horse next door and take a trail across Elaine’s property into the Cibola National Forest for a trail ride.
